“Perhaps it is music that will save the world” Shin’ichi Suzuki

Hello. I’m Jenny and I’m a violinist, a teacher, a Suzuki violin teacher and I take music into healthcare settings.

I have worked with orchestras including the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, The Halle, BBC Philharmonic, Manchester Camerata, Northern Chamber Orchestra and Northern Sinfonia. During my years as Co-Principal Second Violin at the RLPO, I became part of the music education team working in diverse settings within the community including delivering workshops in schools and evaluating and delivering music workshops for Sure Start.

My work takes me to a variety of healthcare settings including Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Mossley Hill Hospital, Pyschiatric Intensive Care Unit at Rathbone Hospital, Heys Court, Boothroyd Unit and Ashworth Hospital.  I deliver sessions to children in hospitals, older people with physical or mental illnesses and dementia as well as adults suffering brain injuries or with learning disabilities and mental health problems. I love working one to one with people, in a group situation or with children and their families.

If I can help you at all, I’d be delighted to hear from you. I hope you’ll find what you are looking for and don’t hesitate to get in touch.
